Aneta Parišková’s chilling confession about cancer: I was afraid that I would never wake up!

Moderator Aneta Parisková (52) life turned upside down from minute to minute. In 2020, doctors diagnosed her with Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and for a long time she waged the most demanding and merciless battle. Today he has been in remission for 5 years and revealed the details of the difficult treatment and what happened after it.

It all started when the presenter was urged by her father to immediately call an ambulance because her life was at stake. A swollen blood vessel in the neck, several weeks of terrible itching of the whole body, pressure on the chest and head, feeling of strangulation and fatigue. She attributed all this only to the extreme stress brought by the corona times. According to her, she had no fever, no lumps, or enlarged nodes, well her lymphoma had grown rapidly and insidiously behind her sternum.

With the help of doctors and the strong support of her family, Parišková managed to win over the insidious enemy, but she admits that although she has always been an active person, this experience made her rethink her approach. “I try to use the word no more often and without remorse, and I relax more,” she said.

She was devoted to charity even before her illness, but now she focuses more on patients with the same diagnosis she had. “Volunteer work is very rewarding for me. I meet patients, we give advice, we help, and we laugh together. Working in the association ‘keeps me on my toes’. Even though I’ve been in remission for five years, I know that the disease can come back.” she explained.

A serious diagnosis gave her a new perspective on life, she reassessed her priorities and cleaned up her relationships. The popular presenter also openly admits that she was also afraid. “I had trouble falling asleep for a long time, because I was subconsciously afraid that I wouldn’t wake up in the morning. The fear remains, but at the same time, there is great joy in every day that is given to me,” she concluded by saying that she goes for regular check-ups, tries to sleep as much as possible, eat healthy and not stress too much.
