São Paulo governor defends former president and claims that detention ignores medical reports and “attacks human dignity”

The governor of São Paulo, (Republicans), declared this Saturday morning (22.nov.2025) that the former president (PL) is innocent and that he violates “principles of human dignity“. In a post on his profile on X (formerly Twitter), Tarcísio expressed concern about Bolsonaro’s health and criticized the conditions of his detention.

Tarcísio stated that the prison ignored appeals from several sources and ignored medical reports that would prove Bolsonaro’s health problems. The former president, in a special room. Previously, he had been under house arrest, in Brasília, since August 4th.

“Jair Bolsonaro has faced all attacks and all injustices with the firmness and courage of few.
