Disaffected by Maria do Rosário, former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) was accused of inciting the crime of rape for saying that congresswoman Maria do Rosário (PT) did not deserve to be raped. Bolsonaro said in an interview with Jornal Zero Hora in 2014: “She doesn’t deserve it because she’s very bad, because she’s very ugly, she’s not my type, I would never rape her. Federal Police arrested former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) this Saturday morning (22) at his home in Brasília. The operation complied with a preventive arrest warrant authorized by the Federal Supreme Court.
Unmarked PF vehicles arrived at the former president’s condominium in Jardim Botânico at around 6am. Bolsonaro was taken around 20 minutes later to the corporation’s superintendence in the federal capital, where he will remain detained.
