The leader of na, (RJ), intends to ask the president of the House, (Republicanos-PB), to immediately impeach the deputy (-RJ) as soon as his conviction is confirmed by the STF (Supreme Federal Court).
The expectation is that the process regarding the coup plot will be formally closed by the STF next week, with the rejection of defense resources, leading to the arrest of those convicted.
“We will ask the Board of Directors to directly revoke Ramagem as soon as the conviction is confirmed and the arrest is formalized. In this case, there does not need to be an internal process, the loss of mandate must be declared immediately”, says Lindbergh.
The Chamber is currently analyzing a process similar to that of Ramagem, that of the deputy (PL-SP), who is and was also convicted by the STF. In this case, however, the loss of mandate is being analyzed by the Constitution and Justice Committee in the Chamber.
Although it understands that Zambelli should also have been revoked, the PT understands that Ramagem’s case is more serious and could lead Motta to take a tougher stance.
This is because he would have used a request for medical leave to deceive the Chamber and flee to the USA.
Lindbergh stated that he will also ask the Board of Directors for explanations about the circumstances under which the license was granted to Ramagem.
The Bolsonaro deputy was also the target of a request for preventive detention by minister Alexandre de Moraes for going to the USA. The PT understands that in this case, prior authorization from the Chamber is not necessary for Moraes’ order to be carried out, as it is not an arrest in the act.
