Russian President Vladimir Putin said this Friday that he received the peace plan drawn up by the United States for Ukraine and that the document “can serve as the basis for final terms”. In a meeting with the Russian Security Council, he highlighted, however, that the project was not discussed with the USA and that Ukraine is “against” what was proposed by the Americans.
According to real-time translation of the speech by the agency RTPutin declared that Moscow “is ready for discussions and a peaceful resolution on Ukraine,” but emphasized that the details of the plan still need to be discussed. At the same time, he warned that Russia “is ready to continue fighting if there is no agreement with Ukraine”.
According to Associated Pressthe draft plan foresees broad concessions to Moscow: ceding territory in the Donbass to Russia, preventing Ukraine from joining the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and limiting the size of Kiev’s Armed Forces.

The text also opens up the possibility of lifting sanctions, allowing Moscow to keep part of the energy from the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant and creating a Peace Council supervised by Donald Trump, in addition to dedicating US$100 billion in frozen Russian assets to Ukrainian reconstruction.
