The Brit described his debut season at Ferrari as a “nightmare”

The driver with the most pole positions in the world, starting 104 times in the position of honor on the starting grid, the seven-time champion felt, in the early hours of this Saturday, in Las Vegas, the bitter taste of being at the other end of the line. The seven-time champion left his race disappointed and without high expectations after finishing the qualifying session for the Las Vegas GP in 20th and last position, something rarely seen in his successful career in Formula 1. It is the first time that he has finished in the worst place with a recorded time – he had already started at the bottom without setting a time or due to punishments.

The Briton, who had described his debut season at Ferrari as a “nightmare” after abandoning the São Paulo GP, admitted that “it can’t get any worse than that”. “I have no words to describe this situation,” said Hamilton after his Q1 exit. “Obviously it wasn’t good enough and I couldn’t warm up the tires. I think one of my front brakes was glassy, so I had a lot of trouble stopping in the corners,” explained the 40-year-old.
