“Stranger Things” creators say season 5 will have a “violent” death

Known as the Duffer BrothersMatt and Ross, responsible for creating “Stranger Things”revealed to The Times about some of the most impactful details of the new season, and what to expect from the events that conclude the journey of the residents of Hawkins.

In conversation, the brothers talk about the limit of “terror” which was placed in the series, as the fourth season had some scenes that resembled classic films of the genre, including deaths that impacted the public. “I would say that the fifth season is not as violent as the fourth, but has the most violent death of all“, reveals Matt and the vehicle reports that the brothers laughed.

They remember that there were scenes they recorded that were cut by Netflix, so graphic content of what was shown. “There was a scene in season three that we had to take out. It was when Bruce (Jake Busey) was melting. His nose melts off his face and the platform said ‘No way!'” says Ross and Matt adds that he regrets why, on top of everything else, the scene cost $40,000. “The only other scene that Netflix asked to be cut was the one where Benny (Chris Sullivan) is killed in the first season. You could see the bullet going through his head.”

In four seasons, the Duffer brothers showed they had no mercy in killing off characters that were dear to the public, with Bob Newby (Sean Astin), introduced in the second year as Joyce’s (Winona Ryder) boyfriend. Chrissy Cunningham (Grace Van Dien), Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) e Billy Hargrove (Dacre Montgomery) are a few more who had shocking deaths – both in history and graphically.

Netflix also revealed the synopsis for the latest episodes: The fall of 1987. Hawkins is marked by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he disappeared — his whereabouts and plans are unknown. To complicate her mission, the government placed the city under military quarantine and intensified its search for Eleven, forcing her to go into hiding again.

As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, a heavy and familiar fear also approaches. The final battle is approaching—and with it, a darkness more powerful and deadly than anything they have faced before. To end this nightmare, they will need everyone — the entire group — together, one last time.

The first block of episodes is expected to reach the public on November 26th. Check out all the release dates here.
