Strong words of Mária Čírová about envy in Slovakia: It cost me a lot… Health is only one thing

Singer Mária Čírová (36) shared part of the podcast On purpose hosted by Jay Shetty on the social network. “You are not responsible for how others choose to treat you. Their mood is none of your business. Their actions are not your fault. You don’t have to handle someone else’s bad day. Their behavior speaks volumes about them, not about you. It doesn’t say anything about what you are like or who you are. You are not responsible for making someone else grow up. Maturity is their path, you don’t have to carry this burden,” he said important words.

His statement resonated with the singer so much that she shared her own thoughts with her followers. “I already understood it. And sometimes I’m angry at myself for letting it go this far… this deep. It took a long time. And it cost me a lot. Health is only one thing“, she revealed.

It happened to her too. “Whenever I get the feeling that I have allowed something that never belonged to me to enter my clean space, my sacred temple, which is my body, my mind, I feel sad. And I have to forgive myself for overlooking myself. That I didn’t think about myself. Until it broke me. But all this had to happen in order for me to return to my strength, to learn to stand by myself as firmly as I once stood by others,” wrote Čírová.

Subsequently, she added images of the moments when she indulged in a massage. “Sometimes during videos where I take a moment for myself, there is a comment: “You are so lucky…” And it used to boil inside me. Not today. Thank you for your peace today. Because I already know that only those who are hurt by something in their own life speak up – not in mine,” she shared her thoughts with podcaster Jay Shetty.

She revealed to her fans that life in show business is not what many imagine it to be. “And sometimes I feel like asking: WOULD YOU WANT THAT FOR YOUR WHOLE LIFE? Or just the massage? Walking home at 2:30 in the morning from concerts? Years of creating a tour, not sleeping, taking risks, working hard, building? Do not turn off even when it’s a weekend, a holiday or tired? I do it with love, fully, with my heart. But I’m human too. I also need rest, massage, silence, vacation. Because that’s the only way I can keep going,” declared Mária.

She dedicated her whole life to art. “From the age of 4, I sang in public every Sunday in church – which meant discipline during the week, rehearsals, school on top of that, competitions in singing, piano, recitation, all-Slovak successes and first places were never free. Since I was 19 years old, the whole of Slovakia has had the opportunity to know me,” she described the beginnings of her career.

Then children came into her life. “I’m working hard on myself – with one child, another… and even a third. I am one of the few Slovak singers who does such big projects with such a big family – without agencies, without production companies, without big sponsors (YET). And I was once told that it was not possible. That you can’t have a career alongside your family,” she revealed what some told her.

But fate wanted it differently. “Apparently God had other plans for me. And I stand by them. No one is pulling my hand. And so I understood one thing: The comment “You are lucky” is not about me. It doesn’t belong to me. It is only a reflection of what the person on the other side feels. And I finally stop apologizing for allowing myself to live, create, renovate a house, love my work – and sometimes even relax“, the singer declared. You can read the entire statement in the gallery.
