In a post on social media, the governor said that Bolsonaro “has faced all attacks and all injustices with the firmness and courage of a few.”

“Bolsonaro is innocent and time will show. We remain firm by his side and will fight for this injustice to be repaired as soon as possible”, he adds.
Tarcísio is considered the center-right’s main alternative to contest next year’s election against Lula (PT) since Bolsonaro became ineligible last year. He says, however, that he will run for re-election in São Paulo.
It was expected that the two would meet at the former president’s house next week, while under house arrest. Upon ordering Bolsonaro to go to the Federal Police, the STF minister, Alexandre de Moraes, suspended scheduled visits to the former president.
