“Our eternal president Jair Messias Bolsonaro was arrested this morning. They may even try to silence the one who represents millions. They may use force, pressure and abuse, but they will not erase a leadership built on faith, family and the values that sustain this country”, wrote the mayor.

In a harsh tone, Bocalom stated that there is an attempt to eliminate the former president politically, but declared that this will not be possible. “They want to kill our Bolsonaro, but they won’t be able to kill the millions spread across Brazil. Brazil will not bow down. Let’s go to the end, Captain!”, he said.

Bocalom is one of Bolsonaro’s main allies in Acre and has maintained public support for the former president in moments of political and legal tension.
