Civil police officer Rodrigo Vasconcellos Nascimento died in the early hours of this Saturday (Nov 22, 2025) at Copa d’Or Hospital, south of Rio de Janeiro. He was shot in the stomach during Operation Containment, on October 28, in the Complexos do Alemão and Penha. In total, 122 people died, including 5 police officers.
The carioca was stationed at the 39th police station, in the Pavuna neighborhood, and was hit by a rifle shot, at the top of the Misericórdia mountain range, in Complexo da Penha.
