“During the night of November 18-19, Russia attacked civilians in Ternopil,” wrote Wewior in a post on the X platform. “Among the victims of this heinous act is a seven-year-old Polish citizen – Amelka,” he added.
Wewior specified that the girl died during the Russian attack together with her mother. “Our diplomatic mission remains in regular contact with the authorities of the Ternopil region,” he assured. The attack on the aforementioned city, which is located in the west of Ukraine, took place on Wednesday. On that day, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with more than 470 drones and almost 50 missilesreminds PAP.
In Ternopil there was damage to two residential buildings, which also resulted in fires. The death toll from the attacks rose to at least 31 on Friday, including two children, after rescue workers pulled more bodies from the rubble. About 94 other people were injured and 13 people remain missing.
