Two operation targets in Banco Master scheme are released

The Federal Court ordered the release of two suspects targeted by the PF (Federal Police) operation involving the Banco Master scheme.

In a statement, André Maia’s defense said that the person being investigated “never committed any illicit conduct.”

“In the same way, Mr. André reaffirms his full willingness to collaborate with the authorities, providing all necessary clarifications for the regular progress of the investigation, trusting in the prompt elucidation of the facts”, says lawyer Luiz Felipe Mallmann de Magalhães.

Henrique Peretto’s defense reported that the temporary arrest and release were carried out in accordance with a court order.

In addition to the arrests, the PF carried out 25 search and seizure warrants and various precautionary measures in prison, in the states of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Bahia and the Federal District.

The operation aimed to combat the issuance of false credit securities by institutions that are part of the SFN (National Financial System).

Among the items, the most valuable is the banker’s plane valued at R$200 million. The luxury aircraft, seized in the courtyard of São Paulo International Airport, in Guarulhos, is the same one that would take Vorcaro to Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, before he was arrested by the PF.
