Belém – The World Climate Conference in Brazil is being extended. By the planned end at 6 p.m. local time (10 p.m. CET), the approximately 200 states were unable to reach agreement on controversial issues. The negotiations continue. There is a particularly heated debate over whether a plan should be developed to phase out coal, oil and gas. More than 80 countries are promoting it, but there is great resistance from oil states, for example.
