You don’t have to spend the entire evening in the kitchen to prepare something as delicious as from a good pastry shop. Try the recipe for chocolate cake, which, despite its simple recipe, will delight even the biggest sweet tooths.
You can make them for no occasion, bring them to a house party, or serve them at a St. Andrew’s Day party as a sweet alternative to salty snacks that usually make the tables weak on such occasions. Your friends will be impressed and will eat them until the last crumb.
It is not true that sweets are not good for St. Andrew’s Day. In addition to drinks, snacks, pizza and dinner dishes, it is worth putting at least one sheet of chocolate cake on the table, which will break the taste. People who love baking will be delighted.

- buttermilk – 200 ml

topping:
Start preparing the chocolate cake by combining the dry ingredients. Sift flour, baking powder and cocoa. Also add salt and 130 g of sugar. Mix all products.
Next, add the wet ingredients: egg yolks, oil and buttermilk. Mix it all together until it’s nicely combined. Once done, beat the egg whites until thick (add the remaining 70 g of sugar gradually).
Combine both masses, gently “pressing” the egg white foam with a spatula. Pour the mixture into a form lined with baking paperput it in the oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius and bake for 45 minutes. Cool the cake before pouring the espresso glaze.
You can make it by combining 45 ml of strong, hot espresso with 150 g of powdered sugar (stir constantly until a thick, flowing glaze is created). If it is too uniform, add a little water. Use the icing on your baked goods and decorate it with pieces of dark chocolate. You can also add coconut flakes.
