Regularly cleaning your bathtub does not have to be tedious or time-consuming. You just need to know the right way to deal with different types of deposits to make the surface look like new again.

Acrylic does not like sharp sponges and cleaning powders. It responds best to a warm mixture of vinegar and detergent in a 1:1 ratio. Just spray the surface, wait 15-20 minutes and rinse with water. No scrubbing, no risk of matting.

Steel and cast iron bathtubs with enamel last a little longer. A paste of baking soda and water works well with old soap suds, as it gently polishes the surface. Only after removing the greasy deposits should you wipe the bathtub with warm vinegar, but without mixing it with abrasives, so as not to damage the enamel.

Conglomerate and synthetic stone require a neutral pH. In practice, this means that a solution of dish soap and water works best. Vinegar should only be used spot-wise and rinsed quickly because it may react with resins.
