Beneficial action herring we can strengthen by making them paste with eggs and a few other ingredients. What exactly will be needed to make it? Here is the full list of essential products:

  • 4 herring fillets (it is best to use brined ones);
  • 5 eggs;
  • 1 small onion;
  • 2-3 tablespoons of mayonnaise;
  • 1 teaspoon of mustard;
  • 1 tablespoon of sour cream;
  • half a teaspoon of sweet paprika powder;
  • salt and pepper.

Preparation method:

  1. First, soak the herrings in cold water. The whole process can take up to 2-3 hours, although a lot depends on how salty the herring was. It is worth changing the water approximately every 30-60 minutes, and soaking the herrings in milk for the last half hour.
  2. Place the boiled, cooled and peeled eggs in a large bowl. Cut the soaked herring into small pieces and add them to the eggs. Cut the onion into small cubes and also throw it into the bowl.
  3. Add salt, pepper, sweet pepper, mayonnaise, sour cream and mustard. Crush the eggs with a fork and mix thoroughly. After this step, the paste is ready.

Important note – if we like a smoother consistency, we can blend all the ingredients. What’s more, it’s worth cooking 1-2 eggs moreto place them on top of the sandwich spread with paste. The effect is truly delicious!
