Peace plan
On Thursday, the United States presented Ukraine with a peace plan supported by US President Donald Trump. On Friday, Trump said that the “appropriate” date for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to comment on the deal is November 27, when the US celebrates Thanksgiving.
For example, the plan requires Ukraine to cede all of Donbas to Russia and pledge never to join NATO; Kyiv is also supposed to commit that the Ukrainian army will have a maximum of 600,000 soldiers. The United States and its European allies are supposed to provide security guarantees to Ukraine.
