The Minister of the Environment, Marina Silva, was the highlight of the closing of the COP30 final plenary. Upon finishing her speech, the Acre native received more than three minutes of continuous applause, in a demonstration of recognition that took over the auditorium.

The moment gained strength due to the spontaneous reaction of the public, who interrupted the plenary session to celebrate the minister’s participation. The gesture marked the end of the day’s work and reinforced Marina’s leading role in environmental discussions.
