The minister of the (Supreme Federal Court) authorized the former first lady to visit her husband this Sunday (23). The time was set between 3pm and 5pm.
() has been preventively detained by order of Moraes since Saturday (22). He was taken to a special room at the Federal Police Superintendence in Brasília.
Among the justifications for the former president’s minister, with his transfer from his home, where he was under house arrest, to the PF, is the attempt to violate the electronic ankle monitor. Bolsonaro admitted to having made this attempt.
In the decision, Moraes states that the defense did not indicate which children of the former president also intend to make the visit, a necessary step for registration with the PF. “In this way, the request must be completed. Regularly appointed lawyers must be summoned”, stated the minister.
At noon, Bolsonaro’s custody hearing is scheduled to be held via videoconference and conducted by an assistant judge from the STF. The act exists to evaluate the conditions under which the arrest was carried out and there is no discussion about the merits of the accusations that led to the decree of the measure. The video of the hearing will not be released.
This Sunday afternoon, the deadline for the former president’s defense to comment on the violation of the electronic ankle monitor ends.
