The former president () went to the exit of the Federal Police Superintendence in Brasília to say goodbye to his wife, the former first lady. He was photographed for the first time since he was preventively arrested, by order of Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF (Supreme Federal Court).
In the images, Bolsonaro appears close to Federal Police agents and next to the former first lady, who is heading towards the exit of the building.
Michelle arrived at the location around 3pm this Sunday (23) to visit her husband. Without mentioning her arrival, she disembarked from the car near the main building of the regional headquarters and waved briefly to the approximately 30 supporters who awaited her arrival in front of the PF unit.
The former first lady, who had until 5pm to complete her visit, left the superintendency at around 4:54pm. The former first lady waved to Bolsonaro supporters, who surrounded the car, and left the unit without speaking to the press.
Besides her, only the former president’s doctors and lawyers were able to visit him. In the morning, a custody hearing was held. His children also requested authorization from the Federal Supreme Court to be with Bolsonaro.
The former president is in preventive custody as ordered by Moraes. He was taken to a special room at the PF Superintendence in Brasília.
Among the justifications for the minister to decree the former president’s measure, with his transfer from his home, where he was under house arrest, to the PF, is the attempt to violate the electronic ankle monitor. Bolsonaro admitted to having made this attempt.
