With the Copa Sudamericana title this Saturday (22), Lanús became two-time champions of the competition, after the victory in 2013, over Ponte Preta.
The first Brazilian team to win the competition was Internacional, in 2008. São Paulo, Chapecoense and Athletico-PR (twice) are the other teams in the country that have already won the tournament.
The Sul-Americana has been played since 2002, and its biggest winners, with two titles each, are Lanús itself, as well as Athletico-PR, LDU, Boca Juniors, Independiente and Independiente del Valle.
