Zelenskyj reacts to Trump’s harsh criticism: He sends him a message! It finally came

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Sunday that he is grateful to US President Donald Trump for his help to Ukraine. He also expressed his gratitude to European allies and countries from the G7 and G20 groups. He did so after Trump took to the social network to criticize Kiev’s lack of gratitude for Washington’s support in the fight against the invasion of Russian forces. Sky News reported about it.

  • Volodymyr Zelenskyi expressed gratitude for the help from the USA and Europe.
  • Trump criticized Ukraine for its lack of gratitude to Washington.
  • Zelensky mentioned the importance of the American Javelin anti-tank weapons.
  • The invasion of Ukraine began on February 24, 2022 under the leadership of Russia.
  • Negotiations on the American peace plan for Ukraine were held in Geneva.

“Ukraine is grateful to the United States, to every single American, personally to President Trump, for the help that – starting with the Javelins – saves Ukrainian lives,” said Zelenskyj in a post on the X platform, in which he mentioned the American portable anti-tank weapon FGM-148 Javelin capable of destroying various targets such as tanks, armored vehicles, bunkers and helicopters at a distance of up to 2.5 kilometers.

“Thank you to everyone in Europe, the G7 and the G20 who are helping us protect lives. It is important to maintain this support,” stated Zelenskyj. At the same time, he recalled that Russia started the invasion of Ukraine in 2022: “Since the first minutes of February 24, Putin has been waging this war regardless of how many of his own people he will lose and how many of ours he will kill”.

On Sunday, Trump on his platform Truth Social again accused Ukraine of a lack of “gratitude” for supporting Washington in the fight against the invasion of Russian forces, criticized his predecessor Joe Biden and blamed Europe for continuing to buy oil from Russia. This happened at a time when the representatives of the USA and Ukraine are in Geneva with the representatives of Britain, Germany and France about the American peace plan for Ukraine.

He also claimed that if he and not Biden had been president, Russian President Vladimir Putin would never have attacked Ukraine. Trump also wrote that everyone is losing in this war, especially “the millions of people who have died so needlessly.”
