The Fire and Rescue Service (HZS) of the Czech Republic declared an emergency third level fire alarm at the airport. On the social network, X stated that 12 units using high-altitude equipment are responding to the situation. The intervention is complicated by the weather, it is snowing and freezing in Brno. The fire spread over an area of approximately 50×100 meters.
“We have a large capacity ambulance on site as well as an operations inspector, but we should not have any patients in our care at this time. We are on site for precautionary reasons.” said the spokeswoman for the Health Rescue Service of the South Moravian Region, Michaela Bothová.
