The gesture of the Union’s attorney general, , to the president of , (União-AP), to try to reduce opposition to the nomination of his name as minister of , had the opposite effect to that expected by him.
In a message sent to allies this Monday morning (24), Alcolumbre disapproved of the initiative.
Ironically, he said that the nominee “got off to a good start”, communicating with him via the press, rather than through personal contact. In a statement, Messias stated that he recognizes and praises “the important role that President Alcolumbre has played as a member of the House, which he now presides over for the second time, acting as an authentic leader of Congress, attentive to high decision-making processes, in favor of the country”.
The objective is to establish a truce with Alcolumbre, who was irritated by the fact that President Lula chose Messias instead of Senator Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG), his ally.
