The alarm was raised on Saturday in , when several were spotted flying over Eindhoven.
Defense Minister Ruben Breckelmans announced via X that “civil and military air traffic has been suspended” due to the incident.
As he added, the Defense Ministry’s drone response systems have been put on immediate alert, while the police and KMar (Royal National Guard) are already on the scene, in order to take action if necessary.
Several drones have been spotted at Eindhoven airport.
Civil and military air traffic has therefore been suspended. Defense counter-drone assets are ready to intervene. Police and KMar are also on site.
Further investigation is ongoing and we will take action where necessary.

When asked about the origin of these drones, the ministry did not comment.
It is recalled that on Friday night (21/11), the Dutch army opened fire on drones that were spotted over a military air base in the southeast of the country.
Drones and other aerial infiltrations have caused problems in Europe in recent months.
In September more than 20 Russian drones entered Polish airspace and three Russian warplanes violated Estonian airspace for 12 minutes.
Since then, drone flights of unknown origin have disrupted air operations in Europe. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has called these incidents “hybrid warfare.”
