Do you remember the character Tonico, son of Ana Francisca (Mariana Ximenes) in the soap opera “Chocolate com Pimenta”, a hit in 2003? Viewers were enchanted by actor Guilherme Vieira, currently 33 years old, but where is he? The report from the LeoDias portal tells you everything about how he is doing and why he wants to invest in another career. The former actor spoke to this vehicle.

At the end of recording a serial, Guilherme saw that he was no longer so happy with his profession: “I always loved what I did and had a lot of fun in all the soap operas and films I participated in. The last soap opera was ‘Cama de Gato’, when I was almost 18 years old. When it ended, I noticed something different: instead of the sadness I felt in the seven previous productions, this time I felt relief.”

“This showed me that that routine no longer made me so happy. After 11 years of editing one soap opera into another, I decided to take a break to reflect on the future. I started college and realized that I would be happier following a more “normal” life, with other possibilities and experiences”, he added.

Despite being away from television drama for around 14 years, he said that people still comment on his roles: “I think it’s amazing how people have good memories and I’m still recognized to this day.” The former actor acted in “Vila Madalena”, in 1999, at the age of 6. Also in Bambuluá” (2000), “O Beijo do Vampiro” (2002), “Chocolate com Pimenta” (2003), “América” (2005), “A Lua Me Disse” (2005), “O Profeta” (2006), “Cama de Gato” (2009) and made a special appearance in “Rebelde” (2011).

For him, the role that stood out in his career was Tonico, in “Chocolate com Pimenta”: “It was definitely Tonico, in Chocolate com Pimenta. At the time, the soap opera was already a great success and, over the years, with the reruns and the arrival on the streamingthe character remained very present in the public’s memory.”

Now, married, living in Europe and working in logistics, he intends to return to the games market: “My long-term goal is to return to the games market, which is where I developed my career in Brazil. Here in the Netherlands this sector exists, but it is not yet that strong. Therefore, I recently made a transition to the logistics area, where I currently work with supply chain.”

“This experience has expanded my skills and allowed me to continue evolving professionally while looking at opportunities in the games sector,” he continued.

Personal life

Last year, 2024, in São Paulo, Guilherme and accountant Flavia Montoni got married only with the presence of their closest family and friends. Since 2021, they have lived together in Europe. Regarding building a family, he replied that the couple does not want to have children:

“We are not going to have children. This is a matter that we have always been 100% decided on since the beginning of the relationship and we will be parents of pets forever. Haha.”

At the end of the interview, Guilherme explained why he left Brazil: “Flávia had already lived outside Brazil for a few years. In 2021, I was tired of my job, I resigned and started working remotely, serving some gaming clients through my own company.”

“I decided to come to the Netherlands for a period of time, looking for a cultural exchange. We met through mutual friends — and here we are. Leaving Brazil permanently was never my initial plan, but, despite all the country’s positive points, safety and quality of life were decisive factors for our stay”, he concluded.
