Bistrita – Four days before the start of the World Cup, Austria’s handball women have to digest some real bad news. Backcourt player Katarina Pandza suffered a knee injury in the final World Cup test on Sunday at the four-nation tournament in Romania in the game against the hosts (28:37) and is out of the final round. After Johanna Reichert, this is the second high-profile loss due to injury in coach Monique Tijsterman’s young team.
