Lula says ‘dark paths’ harmed relations between Brazil and Africa

The president stated this Monday (24) that relations between Brazil and the African continent were damaged by “dark paths”. According to him, “Brazil lost its way along dark paths and forgot its ties with Africa”. Lula spoke during the signing of economic and social cooperation agreements in Mozambique, after the G20 summit in South Africa.

“Many of the seeds we had sown did not have time to come to fruition”, he continued, referring to the removal of the former president from the continent during his administration. “It’s time to regain consciousness”, he concluded.
