“Today, Governor Gladson Cameli, Senator Márcio Bittar and other authorities congratulate us on this work that will never be forgotten by the Siberian community. It is not just any work, it brings life, it brings health, it brings dignity”, said Josimar.

He also recalled the challenges faced by residents before construction, such as accidents and dependence on the ferry to cross the river.

The president of the association also highlighted the social and economic impact of the bridge. According to him, land in the Siberia neighborhood that was worth around R$20,000 began to increase in value, reaching R$50,000 or R$100,000 with the completion of the work.

He took the opportunity to thank senator Márcio Bittar, responsible for the amendment that contributed to the construction of the bridge, and praised the president of Deracre, Sula Ximenes, for daily monitoring of the work. Josimar also mentioned the bridge’s connection with other regions, reinforcing integration between communities and municipalities.

“This bridge guarantees the right to come and go, it connects Siberia to other regions and is a landmark for our neighborhood and for Xapuri as a whole”, he said.

The Siberia Bridge, built in concrete, is 389 meters long and received a total investment of R$47.6 million, including paving, drainage, signage and a roundabout.
