RGB-1A? Device that resembles Russian spy object found by divers

It happened off the coast of Wales

Neptune’s Army of Rubbish Cleaners (NARC), a group of volunteers that collects trash from the sea, has discovered an object that resembles a spying device believed to be of Russian origin. The discovery was made when NARC was carrying out one of its routine actions, on November 15th.

Initially, the team of divers considered that the device was a navigation support mechanism, but suspicions later arose that it could be equipment frequently used to detect submarines.

An independent defense analyst told the BBC that the object appears to be a destroyed Russian RGB-1A buoy.

A NARC spokesperson stated that more details confirming the origin and purpose of the device will be revealed after analysis by authorities.
