“The situation can only get worse if pro-war European leaders undermine the peace plan for Ukraine, because in this case, even more people will die, the damage will be even greater and the risk of escalation will be even more serious,” warned Szijjártó.
According to him, the settlement plan is a huge opportunity for the final return of peace to Central Europe, but it should be seen that Brussels and European leaders are not interested in accepting it. “Not only are they not interested, but it seems that they are already absorbed in how to frustrate, undermine and make impossible the adoption of this peace plan,” underlined the Hungarian minister, who called the only acceptable solution unconditional support for American peace efforts.
“It won’t get any better as the situation is getting worse every day. It’s getting worse in terms of the risk of escalation, it’s getting worse in terms of the security of Europe, it’s getting worse in terms of the economy, it’s getting worse in terms of humanitarian issues and it is also deteriorating in terms of the territorial integrity of Ukraine,” Szijjártó whined.
President of the European Council António Costa and head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen on Monday they welcomed the progress in negotiations to end the war in Ukraine.
