U17 footballers sensationally advance to the World Cup final with a win against Italy


Doha – The dream of winning the first World Cup lives on for Austria’s U17 national football team. Team boss Hermann Stadler’s team defeated Italy 2-0 in the semi-finals at the Aspire Academy in Doha on Monday. The match winner was again the 17-year-old Carinthian Johannes Moser, who took the sole lead in the World Cup shooting list with his seven (57th) and eight (93rd) tournament goals. The final opponent is Portugal or Brazil on Thursday (5 p.m.) at the Khalifa International Stadium.
