The former prime minister says he is “absolutely convinced” that the Public Ministry provides information about his personal life to social communication. For this reason, he files a complaint against suspects for the crime of violating his private life, with the prosecutors linked to the Marquês Process being the main suspects.
José Sócrates sent a letter to the Attorney General of the Republic, in which he denounces “the strong suspicion” that Correio da Manhã “receives information from the criminal authorities” about his private life.
In the message, the former prime minister explains that, upon arriving at Lisbon airport, he was approached by the media about private life, “showing an exact knowledge of the trips” he made weeks before.
The former prime minister emphasizes that he has always complied with the legal obligations resulting from the identity and residence termso as not to inform the court where you are traveling.
“I have a strong suspicion that this station receives information of the criminal authorities with the obvious objective of devasting the lives of citizens who are especially targeted by this institution”, reads the letter.
The former prime minister adds be “absolutely convinced that it is the Public Prosecutor’s Office itself that provides this information” and, therefore, presents complaint against unidentified persons for the crime of breach of private life, identified as the main suspects were prosecutors linked to the .
