At the Toekomst Sports Complex, and without goalscorer Gonçalo Moreira, due to the limit of players born in 2006, the Benfica came out strong and completely dominated Ajax and took the lead in the ninth minute through João Afonso, who headed a cross from the Italian Federico Coletta.
