After events in São Paulo, , and , the book will have its first release abroad.
A partnership of with the Record editorial group, the publication will be the subject of an event at the Gulbenkian Foundation, in Lisbon, this Wednesday (26), at 6:30 pm.
The conversation is part of the programming of , which is curated by , and .
At this Wednesday’s event, , executive editor of Sheet and one of the 81 authors with articles in the book will give an initial presentation.
Then, a conversation will begin with the participation of Capicua, writer and one of Portugal’s main rappers; by José Miguel Wisnik and Milena Britto; and , professor, newspaper columnist and co-organizer of “A Palavra e o Poder”. The mediation will be by the journalist and writer.
After the conversation in the Portuguese capital, there will be an autograph session.
The book brings together opinion texts from the collection of Sheetauthored by names such as , , and . These are articles published over the last four decades.
These texts of historical relevance are analyzed in the publication in unpublished comments by authors such as , and . There are, in total, 40 pairs of articles.
In one of these pairs, Milena Britto comments on an article by, published in Sheet in 1986, about censorship.
In addition to Tavares, the book is organized by , assistant editorial secretary and Diversity editor at Sheet, and, special reporter for the newspaper.
On December 11th (Thursday), at 5pm, a new debate will take place in São Paulo regarding “The Word and Power”. It will be in the Nicolau Sevcenko auditorium, in the history department of FFLCH (Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences) at USP.
