A Sheet has a new editorial board starting this Monday, the 24th. Among the collegiate’s missions are criticizing the newspaper, bringing new ideas and discussing trends.
It is a council “with consultative functions whose members are journalists and non-journalists”, as indicated by The members must meet three to four times a year.
The new council is formed, in alphabetical order, by , former president of Banco Itaú and columnist for Sheet; sociologist, international political commentator for GloboNews and also a columnist for the newspaper; journalist, commentator on Jovem Pan radio and columnist for Sheet.
Also on the board are journalists, commentators on Band News radio and columnists for Sheet; (Neca), sociologist specializing in education and president of the board of trustees of the Tide Setubal Foundation; , director and professor at the São Paulo Law School of Fundação Getulio Vargas and columnist for Sheet, and , CEO of the D’Or D’Oor.
The group of advisors also includes a psychoanalyst, director of the Gerar Institute and columnist for Sheet; executive editor of the newspaper; and professor of communication theory at UFBA (Federal University of Bahia) and also a columnist for Sheet.
The publisher, , and the Editorial Director, , as secretary, complete the list.
According to Dávila, the members of the newly installed board will contribute to the newspaper’s new priorities, such as the focus on economic coverage and video production. They will also help Sheetwhich will be completed in February 2026, in discussions about expanding the use of artificial intelligence and the maturation process.
“For four years, it was an important consultative part of the newspaper in difficult times —years of pandemic, of a government with authoritarian tendencies, of dissemination of fake news—, but also exciting ones, such as the defense of the editorial project amid polarization, the focus on economic coverage and diversity, the change of format of the printed edition, the priority on video production and the achievements and challenges brought by artificial intelligence”, says the Editorial Director.
“A Sheet is very grateful to the previous board members and welcomes those who arrive, a group of excellence in their diverse areas.”
The editorial board was created in May 1978. The secretary of this first committee was only 20 years old at that time. The journalist held this role for four decades, until 2018, the year in which he died.
Since then, the collegiate has had 35 formations, and the number of members has varied from 5 to 13 during this period.
