Slovak television already has a clear idea of what will replace the popular format I love Slovakia. She decided to definitively remove the entertainment show from her offer in June. And while the rejected show will soon be on the JOJka screen, Mlynská dolina has been looking for its successor for now. The creators caught the eye of a proven program from faraway Sweden, but at the very beginning of its implementation, they were met with a cold shower.
The information that the television station under the leadership of its boss Martina Flašíková reached out to the Scandinavian entertainment model was brought some time ago as the first portal Aktuálné, and the future broadcaster is also officially applying to it. “We confirm that STVR is the holder of the license for the successful foreign format På spåret. It plans to launch the Slovak version, entitled On the right path, on television screens at the beginning of next year. STVR will inform about further details in the near future,” said the TV’s PR manager.
There is speculation as to who will appear as a replacement for Milujem Slovensko. STVR lost some familiar faces. The producer Dano Dangl, the moderator Martin Nikodým, the actor Vladimír Kobielsky, the actress Kristína Tormová have finished, and the actress Kamila Magálová has also given up on further cooperation. Adela Vinczeová also closed the door behind her in Mlynská dolina for the time being. “There was already an offer, but we didn’t meet about it. Of course, the future is unknown to everyone, so even I can’t say what will happen in it.” said the star presenter. The show On the right path, which is originally called Na trati, has been broadcast by the Swedish public television SVT since 1987. Like Milujem Slovensko, it occupied the Friday evening there as well. Two pairs of well-known personalities compete in it, there is a moderator, a musical band and one permanent guest in the role of a judge or commentator.
“During the program, the personalities go on a journey around the country or abroad. The show is divided into three separate journeys, filmed from the perspective of the front window of a train, car or bus. The task of the contestants is to guess the destination of the journey as soon as possible. They will be helped by several aids or clues from the moderator in the form of various games. The moment the contestants think they know the destination of the journey, they pull the emergency brake and stop the journey. The later they guess, the fewer points they get,” the portal reports
Milujem Slovensko ended after thirteen years of broadcasting. It will be released by JOJka on New Year’s Eve, with other parts coming in the spring. “The unit today has several stable long-term formats that bring it numbers, but it is true that many of them are already starting to look tired. Sometimes I feel like we’re going round and round – the same guests, the same jokes, the same ‘puk’ who has visited the same village for the sixth time,” STVR general director Martina Flašíková said to the portal in the past
“The management of STVR is behind the decision to replace the show I love Slovakia with a new format,” said STVR’s PR manager. Vincze, who starred as a captain on the show, says she’s fine with STVR standing by its decision to cut the show. “They have a legitimate right to do that,” she pointed out to Adel. At the same time, STVR declared that they still have the presenter after her departure to join the competition in the market. “At the moment, we are not preparing a project in which Adela Vinczeová would appear. However, STVR remains open to possible future cooperation on new formats,” refers to the star Mlynská dolina.
