In our western neighbors, on Friday, November 21st, the awarding of prizes in the popularity poll of the Český slávik singers took place. The absolute winner was Ewa Farna, who won the Absolute Nightingale title and also triumphed in the Singer of the Year category. Václav Noid Bárta became the Singer of the Year, the legendary Kabát was the Group of the Year and Renne Dang was the Discovery of the Year.
A constellation of domestic and foreign stars presented themselves on stage – Dara Rolins with her daughter Laura, better known as Lola, Ben Cristovao, Václav Noid Bárta and Dymytry, Richard Krajčo, Monika Absolonová, Lucie, Čechomor with Lenka Dusilová, O5 and Radeček or the Italian singer Drupi.
But while Dara and her daughter Lola achieved huge success after their recent performance in Slovakia, people in the Czech Republic were not enthusiastic. On the social network, negative comments started pouring in under the video of their performance, which you can find at the end of the article. “Shame on dinner! You thought she was singing at the school party, didn’t you?” wrote the critical words of Martina. “This was terrible! The shame of the evening,” added Lena.
“I don’t understand why there is such a fuss about her… She can’t sing for a long time, the same carousels she used to sing when she was little… You’re turning her into Beyoncé. After all, it doesn’t even reach her ankles. Even around Ewa Farna, who is a great professional, there is no such halo as around her. Is her antics, shaking on stage admirable? Some really lost their sense and hearing,” she put on Rollins Domi.
Other fans, on the other hand, did not understand why someone was criticizing the iconic singer. “I don’t understand people who comment negatively. Better keep them quiet. If you don’t like it, move on, if you like it, praise it. That will please. And if you don’t know how to please, don’t comment. Let’s be nicer to each other. I would be curious about those who wrote the shock and the like, how they would manage it. I like them very much, it must be great to stand on the same stage with my mother,” the user took her side.
“Beautiful and talented,” thinks Ivana too. A comment by former member of the National People’s Republic of the Slovak Republic, Romana Tabakova, also appeared under the post. “Great Dara,” she bequeathed to her. “Great. Lightening up the evening. Great performance,” added Klára. “That daughter sings beautifully. And she is beautiful,” wrote to the address of Lola Tereza. You can read more comments in the gallery.
