US President Donald Trump’s peace plan would have already led to peace in Ukraine if European leaders had not sabotaged it. According to the telex.hu server, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said this on Tuesday on the sidelines of the international energy conference in Bucharest. The Budapest correspondent TASR informs about it.
“Hungary’s position has always been clear: we have always supported the ceasefire and peace talks. That is why we have been constantly under attack in recent years,” citoval Szijjártóa server hotnews.ro.
“We believe that this peace plan is a huge chance to achieve peace. Ukrainians and we Europeans have lost too much in this war and we do not want to pay an even higher price for a war for which we bear no responsibility.” added the Hungarian minister.
Szijjártó zdôraznil, že Budapest supports Trump and asks the leaders in Brussels and the states of Western Europe not to sabotage the negotiations.
