The recall of the Minister of Transport Jozef Ráž (nominee of Smeru-SD) has been scheduled by the Chairman of the National Council of the Slovak Republic Richard Raši (Voice-SD) for Monday (December 1) at 10:00 a.m. Raši said this at the Tuesday press conference of the Hlas-SD party.
The motion to recall Ráž was initiated by opposition MPs from the parliamentary club Slovakia – For the People. More than 30 signatures needed to call a special meeting received from all opposition parties. According to the opposition, the main reason for the dismissal of the minister is the railway accidents of the last few weeks.
Ráž offered his position to Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD), but he did not accept his offer. Members of the Slovakian club – However, this gesture is not enough for the people and they claim that he should have the minister to submit his resignation directly to President Petr Pellegrini.
