The cold-blooded case is heading to the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic: the Afghan man was supposed to be preparing the murder of his daughter! What is the motive?

At the end of May 2025, the Specialized Criminal Court (ŠTS) sentenced Afghan Mohammed GP to an eight-year prison sentence for preparing the murder of his daughter. Since the procedural parties have appealed against the judgment, the decision will still be taken by the Supreme Court (NS) of the Slovak Republic. “The case in question was delivered to the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic on November 6, 2025, the date of the decision has not yet been determined,” Alexandra Važanová, spokeswoman for the Court of Appeal, told TASR.

In addition to Mohammed GP, the court of first instance unlawfully sentenced his cousin Darya KS to eight years in prison. sentenced them to eight years of imprisonment with placement in a medium-security institution, as well as the penalty of confiscation“, Mária Horáková from ŠTS told TASR.

The trial began at the ŠTS in March 2022. The court originally acquitted the two men from Afghanistan, who also have British citizenship. However, the Supreme Court overturned the acquittal and the case was returned to ŠTS.

According to the indictment, the pair should have arrived in Slovakia several times since August 2018, obtained more information about the victim and prepared her murder. The motive was supposed to be a reaction to the dishonor of the family and Islam. The victim decided to leave the joint household for Austria and Slovakia, where she married a Jewish man, converted from Islam to another faith and produced films with pornographic content. Both men have denied guilt in the past.
