Report indicated a reduction in spending restraint by ministries to comply with fiscal rules from R$12.1 billion to R$7.7 billion
The situation at Correios is very bad and has had a negative impact on the bimonthly revenue and expenditure assessment report, which evaluates the monitoring of government accounts, said this Monday the executive secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Dario Durigan.
The report indicated on Friday a reduction in spending restraint by ministries to comply with fiscal rules from R$12.1 billion to R$7.7 billion.
The document mentions that the projected fiscal deficit increased mainly due to the impact of the financial results of Correios, which require compensation from the National Treasury.

In a press interview, Durigan also stated that the new report does not open up fiscal space because the government used the margin left in the budget to compensate for the results of state-owned companies.
