Wash woolen sweaters only this way. Otherwise they will be thrown away

Not everyone knows and this is very important. Especially if you try to look good in winter and want well-kept clothes that will last for many years.

If you just throw them carelessly into the washing machine drum along with other clothes, they can quickly deteriorate, shrink, lose their unique shape and softness, which is the greatest advantage of a woolen sweater.

Woolen sweaters do not require frequent washing . Usually, it is enough to air them on the balconyexposing it to cool air for 1.5 hours. The balls can be removed using a special wool brush. You can also use a steamer to improve the smell of the fabric.

However, if you cannot imagine not washing your favorite clothes for a long time, act gently. The safest way is to do it by hand, using cool water with a small amount of wool liquid. Forget about the powder, because it will make the fabric rough.

Place the clothes in the bowl and knead them gentlytrying to avoid twisting and rubbing the fabric, as this may damage it. After fifteen minutes, rinse the sweater with winter water and squeeze out excess water using a towel or cotton lining.

Washing a woolen sweater in a washing machine is also allowed, provided that the washing machine has a program dedicated to refreshing woolen fabrics. (short, with a temperature no higher than 30 degrees Celsius and only minimal or no spinning of 300-400 rpm). If the water is too warm, the sweater will shrink.

Also remember to turn the clothes inside out before putting them in the washing machine (if the fibers are damaged, it will be visible on the inside). It’s also a good idea to throw clothes into a drum in a special net for washing delicate fabrics. Use only detergents intended for wool and delicate fabrics. There may also be laundry leaves.

Under no circumstances should you wring out a wet sweater. After squeezing out excess water with a towel, lay it flat on the dryer, and not vertically, because then it will stretch. Nothing can sag unless you want your clothes to be two sizes too big.
