Copenhagen achieved its first victory in the 25/26 Champions League by defeating Kairat 3-2 this Wednesday (26), at Parken Stadium, in a duel valid for the fifth round of the league phase.
The Danish team opened the scoring in the 26th minute of the first half with Viktor Dadason, who took advantage of a rebound after a save by goalkeeper Anarbekov. In the final stage, Jordan Larsson added a penalty for the home team in the 14th minute, after a VAR review that identified a handball from Damir Kasabulat.
Brazilian Robert scored Copenhagen’s third in the 27th minute of the second half with a beautiful shot into the goalkeeper’s left corner.
Kairat pulled one back in the 36th minute after a mistake by goalkeeper Kotarski, who gave the ball to Dastan Satpaev to score. In the final minutes, Olzhas Baybek scored the visitors’ second goal, but it was not enough to avoid defeat.
With the result, the Danish team reached 4 points and occupies 29th place in the overall standings, while Kairat remains with just 1 point in 35th place.
