Cole Palmer, Chelsea striker, was left out of the Champions League duel against Barcelona next Tuesday (25). Coach Enzo Maresca had already anticipated this condition last Friday (21), as the player fractured a toe after a domestic accident.
According to Maresca, the attacking midfielder was “very close to returning” after two months of recovery, but the setback will keep him out for at least another two weeks.
– He suffered an accident at home – explained the coach, highlighting that the injury is not serious, but prevents his immediate return.

When Palmer turns?
As a result, Palmer, 23, also did not face Burnley last Saturday (22), in the Premier League, nor will he participate in two important Chelsea commitments next week: the clash with Barcelona in the Champions League, this Tuesday and the classic against Arsenal in the English.
The last time Palmer took to the field was on September 20th, against Manchester United, a match in which he had to be substituted after just 20 minutes of play.
