Nikodem packed his bags and left Slovakia: Will he be safe? The island belongs to a country torn by war!

Martin Nikodým (54) is a passionate traveler. He never stays at home for long and has already set off for another adventure. The actor and presenter packed his bags and went on another unforgettable trip with the ticket. His fans were really curious, but he kept secrets about his destination at first.

“You’re all asking me where, where? So you have to figure it out for yourself. I fly for adventure to an island belonging to a country torn by civil war, but the island itself is safe. 30% of the plants on this island cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Where am I flying to?’ gave his followers on Instagram a riddle.

The options in the survey were Košice, Alaska, Kamchatka and Sokotra. According to the hint, it was easy to guess that Nikodým was heading to the last mentioned destination. The island belongs to war-torn Yemen. Socotra is globally important in terms of biodiversity due to its extremely rich and specific flora and fauna.

The list of countries visited by the TV star is truly enviable. Just look at his experiences this year and we would all change with him. In the summer, he and his girlfriend Martina navigated Croatian waters on a rented boat, and in April they enjoyed exotic Sri Lanka together. Shortly before that, Nikodym experienced unforgettable moments in Argentina.

He started a really action-packed vacation in Buenos Aires, from where he moved to Patagonia. The popular presenter saw breathtaking views on the spot, which he also shared with his followers on social networks. “A traveller’s dream. Our Tatras are beautiful,” he joked in one of the posts. “Dream and fulfill your dreams. This was mine“, he said subsequently.

Perhaps the greatest experience of the entire trip was the view of the Upsala glacier. “So this was an experience. 42 km² of ice and the scenery to go with it. At one point I stopped taking pictures to start enjoying what was happening. When a piece of ice clattered away from the central glacier and it clattered into the water. So it was an experience” Nikodým confessed.
