The 69-year-old female passenger did not survive the head-on collision between two passenger cars, which occurred on Wednesday on the road between Figa and Bátka in the Rimavská Sobota district. The drivers of both vehicles were injured in the accident and were taken to hospitals from the scene of the accident. The Banskobystrica regional police reported about it on the social network.
In connection with the accident, the police initiated criminal prosecution for the crime of homicide. “Experts from the Department of Road Transport and also from the Department of Forensic Medicine were brought into the investigation. The exact cause of the accident will be the subject of further investigation,” the police added.
