A Times report points out that the US president has drastically reduced his public events and domestic travel compared to his first term
The president of , , was furious, this Wednesday (26), with an article in the newspaper The New York Times which points to growing signs of fatigue in the American chief executive. The Republican stated that he is full of energy and that the author of the article is “ugly”.
“I have never worked so hard in my life. Yet despite all this, the lunatics on the radical left in New York Timeswhich will soon be closed, wrote an article against me saying that maybe I am losing my energy, despite the facts showing exactly the opposite,” the 79-year-old Republican posted on his Truth Social platform.
Trump was the oldest person to become President of the United States and the job has clearly had an impact on him since he began his second term in January. But in his lengthy social media post, peppered with words in capital letters to emphasize his message, Trump said the article Timespublished on Tuesday (25), ignored his achievements. He also boasted that he had recently undergone a “PERFECT PHYSICAL EXAMINATION AND A COMPLETE COGNITIVE TEST (‘Which I passed successfully’).”
Trump remains a ubiquitous figure in the media, holding extensive sessions with journalists, in marked contrast to his predecessor, who left office at age 81. But as the White House continues to portray Trump through artificial intelligence-generated images that show him as a muscular superhero, the Republican is visibly slowing down.
The influential article Times pointed out that Trump has drastically reduced his public events and domestic travel compared to his first term, and maintains a public schedule between noon and 5 p.m. During a televised event in the Oval Office earlier this month, Trump appeared to doze off briefly.
There are unanswered questions about Trump’s health, in particular why he underwent an MRI in October. Photographs of his swollen ankles and a large bruise on his right hand also sparked speculation.
Trump branded the Times the “ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE” and called the journalist who wrote the article “ugly, both inside and out.”
Earlier this month, he called another journalist a “pig” and another “a terrible person.”
O Times responded to Trump’s post with a statement saying his “information is accurate and based on first-hand reporting.” “Personal insults and disparages do not change that, nor will our journalists hesitate to cover this administration in the face of intimidation tactics like this,” the newspaper added.
