The Ethics Council of União Brasil decided on Tuesday to request the expulsion of the Minister of Tourism, Celso Sabino, from the party, a deputy licensed by the party in Pará. The request will still be analyzed by the party’s National Executive, which has not yet scheduled the meeting. According to the caption, the decision will be made by December 8th. Sabino had already been punished with the loss of command of the União do Pará directory and with the ban on holding any position on behalf of the party.
In September, União Brasil gave an ultimatum and anticipated a move to disembark from the Esplanada dos Ministérios. Sabino even announced that he informed President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva that he had resigned, but he backed down and remains in office.
Given this, members of the Union began to work with the scenario that the command of the Ministry of Tourism will not be changed and continued the process of punishing the minister within the party.

Despite pressure from the party, the ministry is considered important by some parliamentarians who wish to direct amendments to their bases.
A União Brasil regulation provides for sanctions for staff who do not request dismissal from their positions.
União Brasil’s decision to leave the government came shortly after the publication of news that associated Rueda with organized crime in São Paulo.
According to reports published by UOL and ICL, Rueda’s aircraft were allegedly used by the PCC. The party sees government influence in leaks of Federal Police (PF) operations targeting Rueda.
To the vehicles, Rueda denied owning planes and “vehemently repudiated any attempt to link his name to people being investigated or involved in the practice of any illicit activity”.
In a statement, the Union expressed “solidarity” with the president of the party. In another episode that highlighted the bad relationship, at a ministerial meeting held in August, Lula even said that he personally didn’t like Rueda.
